For years I ran a bootcamp a few times a year that was cohort-based. It followed an established syllabus, lasted 10 weeks, and was a mix of cohort coaching sessions and live workshops. My new private bootcamp follows the same syllabus, but instead of cohort coaching sessions, you'll have one-on-one coaching sessions, and instead of live workshops, you'll have reading assignments and video segments to watch. This way, you can work through all the material on your own schedule and at your own pace.
You may not be a solopreneur yet and that's OK! Many people do the bootcamp while still in their traditional full-time job so they can hit the ground running and minimize the dip in revenue. On the other hand, plenty of people do the bootcamp after they've already made the leap to self-employment, usually within the last twelve months. They want help with nailing their niche, defining their service offerings, pricing their services, and with building their pipelines with prospective clients.
With this new private bootcamp format, it doesn't matter where you are in your solopreneur journey because we'll tailor the syllabus to your particular needs. Together, we'll create momentum which is the engine of solopreneur success.
General Overview:
When you’re self-employed, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. When you're just starting out there's so much to learn, where do you start? And once you've been at it a while, there's so much to do it's hard to find the time to work on your business, not just in it. This Private Bootcamp for Solopreneurs is the solution!
Duration: Six to twelve weeks, depending on where you are in your journey
Objectives:
Format: A mix of independent study and one-on-one coaching sessions
Time Commitment: 5 coaching sessions of 60 minutes each, plus about 4-8 hours of homework every week depending on how much you need to do. (If anyone told you that starting your own coaching or consulting business would be easy, they were lying.)
I became a solopreneur before the word was even invented. Upon being laid off, I called a former colleague, and a week later I had my first consulting contract. After that first project, I realized that I made more money, worked fewer hours, and had more time with my daughter. I never considered another “real job,” despite being a single mom in an expensive city.
Five years later I founded the ProKo Agency, which represents independent consultants on projects with Fortune 500 clients. As a result of growing ProKo into a national business, I have become known as the person to call if you have questions about self-employment. In 2018 I and two other solopreneurs launched Professional Independent Consultants of America (PICA), an educational organization and community that helps people start and grow their own solo businesses.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Southern California. I am the author of the best-selling book, Succeeding as a Solopreneur: Six Keys to Taking the Leap, Winning Clients, and Building Wealth, as well as PICA's blog, Successful Independent Consulting and articles on Inc.com. When not working, I enjoy traveling, skiing, golfing, and playing Candy Crush.
The only daughter of an entrepreneur, I always knew I wanted to run a business, but my true calling is to teach others how to launch and grow theirs.
Pricing does not include PICA membership, click here to join.
